- You may wash and shampoo as you normally would after the bandage is removed.
- It is not usually necessary to cover the area again unless you want to.
- After the bandage is removed, please clean the area TWICE a day with Hydrogen Peroxide and then pat it dry. Do this until the sutures are removed at our office.
- Use the Polysporin ointment given to you once a day for the first three days only.
- You may take Tylenol or Extra-Strength Tylenol for any discomfort. No Aspirin, Advil (or generic Ibuprofen), Alleve, or other NSAs for 3 days.
- If bleeding should occur, apply 20 minutes of constant pressure. If bleeding does not stop, please call the main office number or the doctor's pager after hours.
- Please call the office with any questions or concerns you may have. Lee Coulter, our PA, typically handles these inquiries and he can be reached by dialing the main number, 404-257-9933, and selecting Option 8.
