Dr. Dino Anastasiades is a Board-Certified Pathologist with a specialty in Dermatopathology. He is a highly trained physician who specializes in diagnosing disorders of the skin under a microscope, combining the specialty of dermatology (the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail diseases) with the specialty of pathology (identification of diseases microscopically). Most of his work involves cases of melanoma, various skin disorders, immunologic and infectious issues, and pediatric diseases.

A dermatopathologist is often referred to as the Sherlock Holmes of Skin because, in order to make a definitive diagnosis, he or she must make microscopic observations regarding your skin tissue, as well as assess information received from your physician.

Dermatopathologists are the diagnosticians of choice when your physician suspects various skin diseases. They advance beyond typical lab tests to provide personal and consultative service to your physician, which includes analyzing your medical information in conjunction with observations through the microscope. The ultimate goal is to provide you with the best possible care.

In addition to his work at MetroDerm, Dr. Anastasiades is an Associate Pathologist at Atlanta Medical Center and Medical Director of Life South.
