Metropolitan Dermatologic Surgery utilizes a Lyra-i™ laser to perform fast, permanent (with follow-up treatments) hair removal that goes far beyond what is possible with other methods such as waxing or electrolysis.  Such methods are slow and painful by comparison and do not have the same efficacy as the Lyra™.  This laser system delivers its light to the base of the hair follicles, destroying them permanently.  As not all hair follicles are in a growth cycle at the same time, a follow-up treatment to reach all hair follicles is typically required.  The Lyra™ laser is currently the best available technology for laser hair removal.
